Even function: the equation to find out if a function is even is f(-x)=f(x). This means that the function will be symmetrical to the y-axis. So then an even function looks the same as it is reflected over the y-axis.

Odd function: The equation to find out if a function is odd is f(-x)=-f(x). this function will be symmetrical to the origin. This function will go through the origin and also it will remain the same as it is reflected over the x-axis and y-axis. It reflex both the X and Y axis.

  1. "This means that the function will be symmetrical to the y-axis."

Yes, this is true. But I also told you this. You have to be explaining all that f(x), f(-x), and -f(x) stuff.
