1.It is increasing on the intervals [-2,0]u [2,0], and decreasing on (-∞,2]u[2,∞) you can tell because it is positive on a f'(x) graph and when it is decreasing it is negative on the f'(x) graph.
2The local minimum at -2 because its before the output changes from negative to positive. The local minimum would be at 2 because that's before the output turns from positive to negative.
3.It is concave up at (-∞,-1.25) and (0,1.25). It is concave down at (-1.25,0) and (1.25,∞). You can tell from this graph that is concave down when f'(x) is decreasing and concave up when f'(x) is increasing.
4.its x^5 because slope changes 4 times, since its the derivative of f(x) which would be x^4 which is -1 less than x^5 when u take the derivative of it, then it mus be x^5.

mindset

1. i belive that i have a growth mind set i beleive i am capeable of doing anything that i put my mind to. a growth mindset is when people belive that you gain your intelligence from being trained. i beleive that no matter the chalenge or obsticle there is always a way. our mind is a powerfull thing and more you learn the better it gets.
2. my mind set helps me in math because there is never problem that i cant solve. i might get it wrong at first but practice and training my mind will make me better
3. knowing the my brain a muscle is pretty big because i have never though of it that way. i think all people should extersie ther mind and make it better.
4. this will help me out in the future so when there is some thing that i can not over come i will always know that my mind is capable of doing anything if i keep trying. and i would not have only grown but i have took some usefull skills out of it

algebra vs. calculus

1. the diffdrence between using the limit as x=c and plugging in x=c is that when you are findding the limit you are findding all the points that are approching c from the positive end and the negative end. plugging in x=c you arer able to find the exact answer. the limit from the negative end does not have to equal the limit from the positive side.

2.the similarty between find the slop and the derivitive is that when you find the slope you are finding the slope of the line . finding the derivitive is findint the slope of the tangent line. the difference is that for derivative you could be finding the slope of and live not just a straight line.

limits???

well i had a good understanding about limits and how they were used. but the things that i didnt understand so good is tangents and sin were included to the problems. and i also didnt really understand the peace wise functions with limits.
for example like the ones on our test. i really didnt know what to do.

1) pg 93 #18
2) pg 95 #5
3) test #17

majors

1. Business manegment.
this major is all about makeing money and working a lot with numbers. this means learning how to work with people and take a lot of risk. People usualy invest in othe business or start up one on their own. You also learn how to run a business and what it takes.

2.chemical engineere
This major has to do with learing abotu chemicals and what the are used for. There is a lot of science and working with dangerous chemical. This offers jobs on makeing better thing for people makeing things like toothpaste and even makeing a glass of soda.

3.cheff
ive always been interested in cooking. And this major may not be a big one but its like a hobby.
this major has to do with working with food and cooking food. You must have a lot of knowlage about all the different kinds of food from all around the world. There is always something new. People trying new things with recipies and amking them taste better.

These are the coleges that im interested in and that offer for these majors

1. UCLA.
it offers a lot of classes and it offers classes to specialise in Chemical enineering. this school has a lot of majors to choose from.

2. Berkley
this school offers classes that focess on business manegment and math classes that you need to help you in the major.

3. The Art Insetute of Californina
This School offers a colinarry classes that teach you all you need to know about a cheff and it also offers class on running your own restaurante and maneging it.

tips about trig

1. What i remember about transfermations is that when there is a number in the perenticies it ditermianes whether it goes up or down. And if the number is not in the perenticies it tell it if it goes left or right. If its negative it goes right on the x axis and if its positive it goes left on the x axis. i dont really have tips on how to remember how to shift but all i can think is negative is down and positive is up.

2. What i remember from trig is all the sin and cos. that cos is always x and sin is always y.
this is ditermained by the pie on the unit circle. i dont remember much about trig.
Well what i have for tips is on the unit circle is on the pie from the top to bottom right it goes pie/2 ,pie/3,pie/4,pie/6. it goes form low to high 2,3,4,6.

3. the things that worry is the sin and cos and tan. Also in how to find the inverse to something i get stuck when the y is on the bottom.

log and inverses

form the things that i leared this week about logs is that the it is an exponential function. Logs are a way to find out what exponent equals to the answer. Log is always base ten unless it has a base. When there is an equation for example : log2(9)=3 the base always goes under and to the other side : 9=3^2.
Another thing that we leared this is ln(natural log). Ln is just like log but it is base e. e is just like pie it equals a number.
you are able to use log and ln to use to solve equations and to figure out exponential functions.

This week we also leared about inverses and how to find then. the inverse of f(x) is f^-1(x)
to find the inverse you need to verify that: (f o f^-1)=x & (f^-1 o f )=x.
If it does not equal x then it is not an inverse.
for example: x^2 is the inverse of square root of x

questions: the only question that i have is the on how to find the inverse by solving it.
